Put money in and very slow so stops before full or if it keeps going wont go up to 80 or so PSI needed for tires. Bought one at auto store and is great for bikes and little car tires but not RV and my RAM Need suggestions...2016 Wildcat #242RLXLooking at new 2016 5th wheel Wild Cat made by Forest River. Would appreciate any comments on this rig. Was told axel on some Forest River products were undersized causing serious sway and wear on wheels. Drove a Hitchhiker for years Canada to Guatemala and never had problems....wondered about any problems others may have had with Wildcat or other Forest River products. Sales quoted 32,000 for new one.Re: MPG for Dodge 5.7 hemi vs 6.4 hemiThanks Found dealers are not much help seems I am in the ball park. My weight is quite a bit more..so seems I am doing ok. Wondered if the same truck only 4 x 2 and 6 foot bed would get any better gas milage...found they do sell those. Have been advised to use automatic not that new manual 10 speed ..in fact dealer sales said don't use at all. Cant understand why they even put it in the rig with the auto, 4 wheel and two haul seems it is covered..Does Good Sam recommend RV services ?This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28306000MPG for Dodge 5.7 hemi vs 6.4 hemiBought the 2015 Dodge 2500 6.4 HEMI crew cab and 8 foot bed. No specs on MPG at time we bought. Getting 16 mpg highway drive not towing and drops to 7 mpg towing Pulling a Heartland Elkridge 9500 lbs Wondered about the comparison to the 2500 5.7L HEMI. So far since being in December put on 6000 miles, mostly I-5 to Arizoana and Washington State back and forthRe: platinum protection plan from camping worldYou are correct Rollnhome....It was the way the extended warranty was presented to us by sales staff at Camping World that was confusing. They did pay for one of the tires that blew after driving only 800 miles. We also learned not to trust those selling..We were told the brakes, bearings etc were all checked but found they have no record of that being done. We did find when we crawled under that there are zerk fitting on the springs that have never been lubed. We cancelled the contract and are waiting our money and with that will replace the other tires and get the brakes and bearings checked. We should have known better based on previous experience dealing with sales staff. As others have mentioned beware of used car and RV sales persons.Re: Concern about original tires on 2011 5th wheelRusty thanks left rig in Buckeye for trip home but will be back down in two weeks and will check sticker as suggested.Re: Concern about original tires on 2011 5th wheelQuestion.... So seems I need to replace all of those 2010 tires. Have cancelled extended warranty and should (I hope) be getting back my 2400 dollars.. Went on 5th wheel forum regarding tires and they all seem to be experts resulting in confusion. So with my Heartland Elkridge 2011 5th..what are best tires to replace those that came with it? rating dry is 9500 so assume I would be pulling no more the 11500.Re: platinum protection plan from camping worldWe purchased a used 5th wheel Heartland 2011. Been RVrs for years but quit for number of reasons 7 years ago. Decided why sitting around waiting to die..lets do what we love and so started looking. Our brains are no what they were being 80. We bought through Portland Oregon Camping World sales guy named Andy. We purchased extended warrant with it as sales guys said covered everything from hitch to bumper. We were told it was served and all ok.. Headed for Az..and 800 miles down the road blew a tire. Called Good Sam but they could not find us but those in RV park where we were helped us change to what looked like a new spare tire. They said date on the tire was 2010 and since they looked new...as did the RV must have sat on them for years. We got cost infer from tire places and Camping World when got to Buckeye Az. Camping world wanted 300 for tire and all local tire dealers wanted 130 installed. Called Camping world where we bought the tire and said the extended warranty did not cover undercarriage or tires. Did say they would pay for the 130 dollars for the one that blew but no more. We were told by other RVrs and tire places we checked with all of the tires that old could blow. Long story short we cancelled the 2400 4 year extended warranty. We are waiting for our check. Beware when buying used rigs...we were told by manager at camper world they replace if 7 years old.Re: Concern about original tires on 2011 5th wheelThanks Live and Learn...
