In 2007 we were heading to our long time home away from home at Costa Bella in Zihua. Our travel trailer was hit and totaled in Kansas. We sent the permit, pictures of the accident, the police report and a letter of explanation (in Spanish of course) to Aduana in Mexico City by plain old U.S. Mail. About 8 weeks later we received the cancellation papers back from Mexico City. Again by mail. For us, it was easy. Not our first rodeo. :). Yup we have the receipt and it was all properly scanned as usual. This morning the refund showed up. It was credited at piedras negras which is where we entered Mexico. Maybe crossing out at a different location causes a delay? Since this was instituted, with the exception of this year, we have entered and exited Mexico at the same location.344Views0likes0Comments
