Any one know about such a mount?? ThanksGasoline in Oil????Onan 4000 quits running. Check oil and it pours out. Smells like gasoline in it and really diluted. What is happening? ThanksRe: winter capable travel trailers, older modelsAppreciate all the replies. This forum far more responsive than another forum I won't mention. I'll give the young man this link so he can read all of your comments as well. Thanks again.Re: winter capable travel trailers, older modelsOk, how about helping me out with some TT suggestions. Over my 80 years I have some experience with RVs. Started with TT in 1966. 4 TT and 8 MHs later, over the years, now own a Callista Cove Class C. Granted, I didn't live in them full time but have some appreciation for their negative issues. My wife when first married lived two years in a Spartan in NC at the Marine Base and found it OK. I think the suggestion of an Airstream is a good start. No student union but the search thru computer listings is an idea. I will ask him about that. This isn't college this is post college--medical school and most demanding. I can appreciate why he doesn't want to find and break in a roommate. If you note I asked for suggestions in Travel Trailers--not about the concept.Re: winter capable travel trailers, older modelsUnfortunately the area is high rent cost for apt. With a roommate it would probably be cheaper, but finding a roommate when you are new to the area is tough. At 800 a month rent plus utilities probably looking at $1000 a month. At lot rental of 100 dollars a month that leaves a lot of money for utilities for a travel trailer. Winter would be the most expensive but need to explore trailers.winter capable travel trailers, older modelsA young relative of my son-in-laws family has asked about a travel trailer he could buy and live in for two years while starting medical school. He has limited funds and has found a park where he can stay for $100.00 a month. He has some money saved and can pay for an older travel trailer but can't afford the $800 a month an apt. would cost. So, I need some suggestions as to older travel trailers, in the $5000 price range that could handle the winters in the Northern part of Tenn. Did they make some that were better insulated and with enclosed tanks, and maybe better windows? No family, just himself. ThanksRe: Choices for tire replacemntAppreciate the reply. I was leaning toward the M/S2 for ride and appreciation of Michelin's stepping up to recall issue. ThanksChoices for tire replacemntI'm going to get 6 new tires, thanks to the Michelin Tire recall. I understand there are three possible choices. Need your experience in the decision. The Michelin M/S2 RRE The Michelin AT2LREDT Uniroyal SLARHD/HLRETL This is the vehicle 1994 Callista Cove 29 foot Class C on a E350 chassis Use is, for the most part hauling families on long trips, with very little camping involved. Lightly loaded most of the time. The drive and the ride are top priority. With the Michelin LTX M/S LT225/75R16, load range E, tires that are being replaced, the drive and ride are great. One poster noted with the M/S2 replacement tires his camper was a "squirming mess." Others say they are great. Haven't found anything on the other two tire choices. Comments, suggestions welcomed. ThanksRe: New Michelin LTX M/S recall 225/75R-16My error. They are LTXs. Thanks for questioning that. The dealers referenced in the Michelin link for this area aren't very knowledgeable. In fact the General Motors dealer referenced won't do them. Instead they are referring people to others. I notified Michelin of that fact and suggested they take them off the reference list for this area and save us all some time.Re: New Michelin LTX M/S recall 225/75R-16Need some help. My tires seem to be those that need replacing. One anomaly. They read Michelin LTX M/S LT 225/75R16 115/112R but next they read LTX not LRE. The dot sequence that follows is recallable, B3JH AKEX and production is 1310 which also falls in the recall. From a previous post assume the LRE is load range E and since they are LTX tires and everything else matches assume they fall under the recall. They are load range E.
