We forgot to check when our toad (a jeep) registration expired. Normally its not a problem, we can pay online and have our mail collector send us the tags. But our home state, Arizona, requires emission testing so we had to print out a form for a waiver, have it signed by police in Alaska and have someone back home take it in,Re: getting recordings from Dish hopper to 211Thanks for the suggestion, Dan! What he wanted to do was transfer a bunch of recordings he has on the hopper to an external hard drive then plug that hard drive into the 211 to watch them while we're in the RV. He wants to leave the hopper at our home recording shows the are one while we're gone.Re: getting recordings from Dish hopper to 211Bill, thanks for the quick response. I was afraid of that. The king dome is only compatible with the 211 and the hopper in house is not compatible with the 211 receiver. I'm going to have one upset DH.!getting recordings from Dish hopper to 211We have Dish network with a hopper and a joey for the house. We bought the dish "darth vader helmet" looking sattelite and the 211 receiver for the RV. We formatted a hard drive with the 211 and now want to transfer programs we've recorded on the hopper to the 211 but the hopper won't recognize the hard drive. Any suggestions?Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? We were quoted an $120 for 6mos 250,000/500,000 on the 2011 Majestic 23A by Geico for insurance. Our own credit union wouldn't finance a rig over 50K miles but Cruise America has one that does and at very competitve rate. And Cruise America puts the mileage right on the window. We also ran a CarFax report on the VIN#. Best buying experience so far.Hauling a jeep cherokee with Class C V8cross posted in Class C forum We've put a down on a 2011 (2010 chassis) Cruise America Class C 23A RV. It's the Ford E-350 V8 SuperDuty. We plan to flat haul a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport (3194#) behind it and use a Brakemaster system. Cruise America's FAQs says we can haul up to 3500# with the Class III hitch that it includes, so we're okay on hauling the jeep if we don't load it up with stuff. I'm waiting to hear from the dealer what the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) is for the unit so I can be sure we're under that and I plan to have the combo weighed. Any comments/suggestions on towing the jeep and using the Brakemaster?Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. Mine had a sticker not to tow over 3,500 pounds and forget how much tongue weight sticker said. How much does your Jeep weigh??? Found this in FAQ's. http://www.cruiseamerica.com/buy/buyers_resources/faqs.aspx Can I tow a car behind the RV? Yes you can. All sales coaches are equipped with a receiver hitch. Our Class III hitches are rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs as equipped, and can be upgraded to tow up to 5,000 lbs. Check with your Sales Pro on limits with your expected RV travel activity. Not playing weight police but, One ton model...And you've checked out your CCC in owners manual to make you're OK? Should be no problem. (CCC= Cargo carrying capacity) Manual explains it all... http://www.cruiseamerica.com/buy/buyers_resources/owners_manuals.aspx When the vehicle is in service as a rental, it is placarded to 2,500# and 200# tongue weight. Fourwinds allows up to 5,000 pounds if memory serves me correctly. ------------------------------ Thanks for the info. The jeep curb weight is 3,194, The GVWR on the RV is 12,500, 500# tongue weight, 5000# tow weight. I should be good to go!Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C.
