That doesn't sound "dumb" at all, but at the stations I've used I have swiped my cc then my GS card when prompted. It gave no indication that it didn't recognize either. It just didn't change the price. When it's working correctly the price on the pump drops when I pull out the pump handle and select the grade.0Views0likes0CommentsPilot Gas Pumps Not Discounting
What happened to the gas pumps automatically taking off the 5 cents/gal when I scan my GS card? I remember asking about this over a year ago. At the time someone must have put out the word to Pilot because the pumps suddenly started working correctly. Update - tried the GS loyalty card again at the Pilot J in Salinas and this time it worked! Scanned my credit card, then my GS card. After choosing regular, the price on the pump display changed from 2.859 to 2.809. No idea whether this has to do with my card being activated or Pilot made some changes. Received a personal phone call from GS this morning saying that my card had not been activated. The caller said she has now activated it for me. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I much appreciated the personal attention to the matter. I hadn't realized I had to "activate" the card. Evidently, based on comments here by GS and members, Pilot still has some issues which card activation won't solve, but at least this gets me past one hurdle. At the Pilot J in Salinas, CA, I swipe my credit card then my "loyalty" GS card as prompted but receive no discount on the price. This is in the regular gas line, not truck lanes. If I go into the store and let them know, they give me cash back for the discount but say they don't know why it doesn't work at the pump. Any ideas?8.6KViews0likes30Comments
