Ok when the slides are in. The rubber seals on the inside ( the slides themselves ), have come lose in a couple of places and I was going to reglue. Wondering what kind of glue to use. They are not very accessible, I can barely stick my hand insde when the are fully retracted. Any help woth stopping the leaks would be appreciated,Workhorse Avg Fuel EconomyI have a 2005 Southwind on a Workhorse W22 chassis with the 8.1 liter Vortec engine and I would like to know how to reset the avg fuel economy in the instrument panel display. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. I know that it resets from time to time, but I can't figure out how. It doesn't seem to reset when you reset the trip meters or by holding the buttons down when the avg is displayed. Nothing in the owners manual.Re: Broken Storage Door LatchesI think maybe I'll cut out the back, sounds better than disassembling the door. Thanks for the info....Re: Workhorse 8.1 liter poor fuel mileageThe terrain is both mountains and flatlands, but it seems there are always hills wherever you go. It got the same mileage stock before I changed anything, although I don't remember if the tailpipe had the black soot in it. I'm thinking of taking it to Banks and have them put it on the dyno and see what they say.Broken Storage Door LatchesI have this 2000 Fleetwood Bounder 36S and the plastic strikes that latch the storage compartment doors are broken and I have never seen any others like these. The latch mechanism that is usually on the outside edges of the doors and held in place by two screws are inside the door itself with the two screws holding them in place. Apparently the screws have nuts behind the striker assembly because once loosened they turn forever. I tried taking the door trim off to get inside, but it didn't want to separate at all. I don't want to damage the storage door but I need to replace the broken latches. I can send a picture if that would help. Thanks........Workhorse 8.1 liter poor fuel mileageI have a 2005 Fleetwood Southwind 37c with the 8100 Vortec V8 with an Allison 5 speed transmission with 28000 miles that gets very poor gas mileage, about 6 mpg towing my boat or pickup and 7 mpg empty. I tried the UltraPower chip which seemed to do almost nothing and then installed the complete Banks system (headers, muffler, exhaust, Ramair, and the Auto power tune. A little more power, but still the same fuel mileage. This is driving between 60-65 mph. The boat weights about 3700 lbs and the pickup about 5000 lbs. I read about guys getting 8 to 8.5 while towing and even better empty. The motorhome seems to have adequate power, but still will not run with the Ford 3v V10. There are no trouble codes on the engine or powertrain modules. I do notice that the inside of the exhaust pipe is jet black and rubs off on your finger. The Fords exhaust I looked at are clean and only a very little brown on your finger. I have not checked any other Chevy 8100's. The motor starts and runs perfectly and outside of the super noisy thermostatic fan and the poor fuel mileage the coach drives and runs very good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.....Re: Tire pressuresThat's pretty much what I thought. All the dealers said the Michelins Should ride better, but apparently not. The coach turns a little squirrelly just like with overinflated tires. I'll try it for a short trip and see. Thanks for the info....Tire pressuresI have a 2005 Southwind 37c that had Goodyear G670 2.45/70 R 19.5 load range g. I replaced them with Michelins same size but load range h. They seem to ride much harsher with the same pressures 95 front and 85 rear. I am wondering if I should lower the pressures about 10 or 15 lbs for the heavier rated tires. The owners manual calls for the 95/85 but shows this with load range g.The Michelins are XZ2.Re: 2001 Pace Arrow 37K water leakWhen using the water pump with no city water everything works OK with no leaks. When I turn on the city water (with 50 psi regulator) I have a bad leak under the motorhome (inside the floor), but no leaks inside the motorhome. The city water line goes into the chassis and disappears, only the leak comes from within the subfloor or wherever, I can't tell. The leak has to be between the city connector and the check valve going to the main water supply for the motorhome. I need a drawing of the plumbing..... or help form someone who has had the same problem or is familar with the PA 37K motorhome.2001 Pace Arrow 37K water leakMy friend has a 2001 Pace Arrow 37K with a water leak on the city water hookup side, but runs ok with the internal tank and pump. The leak is approximately under the shower, but the area under the shower (local)is dry. The line goes in the wall and dissappears. Apparently leaking somewhere between the outside connection and a check valve tying into the main supply line. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
