Jayco agreed that my floor needs repair. They submit to the dealer and I the procedure to do the job properly...... man o man its scary. They cut through the vinyl, cut the top luan, remove the styrofoam, weld some brace, install a plywood and reapply the vinyl flooring. Anyone here had this job done ? if so , please share with me how the floor , and the look of the floor was after the repair....my level of confidence is really low, my dealership so far treat me well they are real nice, but its a big job and a lot can go wrong :-( thanks for your inputRe: Jayflight 29 RKS but the kitchen is at the backWell that doesnt seems to be too bad, I think we will take our chance , thansk for sharing your experience guysJayflight 29 RKS but the kitchen is at the backGuys we really like this floor plan and the incredible storage available in it. However friends mention that we shouldn't buy a rear kitchen trailer. Apparently Ill break dishes, Ill get cabinet door opening allowing the content on the floor etc etc...... So, not sure what to do so....any experience with rear kitchen trailer ? ThanksRe: Trailer wheel balancing question.answer I got from tredit tires : The other part about balancing is that these wheels are lug-centric and not hub-centric. That is, the wheel is centered and balanced based off the torque of the lugs on the axle, unlike automotive where it is centered by the hub bore and held in the middle. This allows for changes in balances and makes it difficult to zero in on a balance. Also, many other styles of trailers are now going to aluminum wheels, so there are landscape trailers, utility trailers, cargo trailers, etc. . . that consistently have different loads that will cause wear and tear on tires that a balance isn’t going to change. Many assume balancing will even out any vibrations, but again most of these problems stem from uneven loads.Re: x-tend a chock resilience...Many peoples are using only x-tend a chock and I can understand them a little since the name can be misleading...they should be called X-tend a Stab :-) Anyway thanks to you all for sharing your knowledgeRe: x-tend a chock resilience...My intention was to keep using the chocks, I've read the label and I can understand that the x-tend cannot do all the job by themselves, however they can at least be strong enough to prevent the beginning of a moving momentum...I would never trust them all alone SoundGuy wrote: Lantley wrote: X chocks are designed to improve stability not to keep rig from rolling. Use wedges to keep rig from rolling So glad to see there are at least a few who have paid attention to this note from the manufacturer which is included in every box of BAL X-Chocks ... Despite this warning I still see so many "chocking" their rigs with X-Chocks alone, using nothing else to prevent their trailer from inadvertently rolling away :E ... clearly they think they know better than the people who manufacture the darned thing. :S Re: x-tend a chock resilience...Well thanks for the input guys, I am new to this RV thing and I want to reduce as much as I can the expensive mistake one can make. My idea behind this post was also to see if this device can do a better job than the flimsy cheapo wheel chocks that we see everywhere, I guess I have my answer. Ill keep using both, the chock and the x-tend but I will have more confidence. My driveway isnt flat and I can barely sleep since I've parked the trailer ... :-) Did I say that I'm paranoid at times ...x-tend a chock resilience...Forgetting the x-tend a chock ...I wonder if that happened to any of you ? If so what happenned, x-chock has been destroyed ?, Trailer just refuse to move ? You managed to drag the wheels on the ground ? Any thing not mentionned above, please share thanks
