Roget'18 F250 alarm goes off when being towed. And there is no way to turn the alarm system off. Anyone know of a work-around? Also, the power outlet times out and my towed brake loses power. You'd think a vehicle that is "recreational towable" vehicle would automatically limit it's alarm sensing and leave the 12v outlets on when in neutral tow mode. But, no. Any help would be appreciated.Re: Freightliner Corrosion Warranty (or lack thereof)I have to assume that the structure in question was built by Freightliner. The pictures and original repair request went to Fleetwood. Fleetwood in turn informed me that that would fall under the Freightliner warranty. The following is the email response I received from Freightliner after submitting the pictures and repair request to them: "I am showing and inservice date on your chassis of 5/30/14, you had corrosion coverage of 6mths on your chassis. This would not be covered by your warranty at this time." But just to be sure, I have sent an inquiry to Freightliner asking for clarification on who actually built that framework. In any event, I am still very disappointed in Freightliner's corrosion warranty.Re: Freightliner Corrosion Warranty (or lack thereof)Pictures of some of the affected areas: Picture of area below affected areas (unaffected area): Freightliner Corrosion Warranty (or lack thereof)We have had our 2014 Providence on a Freightliner Chassis for right on a year. Recently we noticed the paint was bubbling up and peeling on the steel framework that supports the various apparatus surrounding the engine at the rear of the coach. This peeling/bubbling is only occurring well above the chassis frame. The chassis itself along with other metal structures closest to the road are in perfect shape. It appears as though this particular section of metal was not properly prepared before it was painted and as a result paint was applied right over existing rust. The continued rusting of the metal under the paint is causing the paint to bubble and peel off. We asked Freightliner to repaint the affected areas under warranty, but have been informed that their corrosion warranty only lasts 6 months. They had no interest in discussing it any further. This apparently gives Freightliner the ability to cut corners and not have to properly prepare all of their metal framework prior to painting! Since they clearly take advantage of this ability their customers are left with the misfortune of having to pay to have their new coaches tore down, sandblasted, repainted, and reassembled at considerable additional expense. I post this only to inform those who are considering a new (or even used) coach on a Freightliner chassis. This is a very unfortunate situation as I have nothing but praise for Fleetwood's warranty support and their Factory Service Center in Decatur, Indiana. Each and every concern we had with the coach was taken care of without question and done carefully and properly by their techs. In addition, I have nothing but praise for their techs' professionalism and skills. And their patience with a customer who insists on knowing everything that is being done and why (and one who also may give instruction on how to properly do it!). Shame on you, Freightliner.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}So sorry to hear about Daisy. You are in our thoughts and prayers.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Unfortunately, my parents have heard nothing regarding Jewel. Their search, however, continues. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} maltese-lover2 wrote: Cindy, Sorry I haven't responded yet but I had to read to the end to see if you had found Jewel. Have you all tried Animal Control and any rescues in your area? I volunteer at a couple here in Colorado and unless you go visit them and look for yourself, you won't know. Sometimes they put the wrong breed on the ticket and all the front desk has is the written description. Please go visit if you haven't already done so. My heart and prayers are with you. Did you have her chipped? gigi They checked earlier, but I don't know if they've gone back. Jewel does not have a chip.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Code2High wrote: Oh, dear... never a dull moment! Any word on Jewel? Have we posted/checked craigslist? There's another thread going about a lost dogs, and some good suggestions there for proactive efforts to recover a lost pet. Nothing as of yet. It's now been over a week. :(Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Nothing to yet to report. Except to say that this has been a wake-up call in terms of posting. Many times I've read where people have had various problems and I too wish them Godspeed at whatever it might be. But I now see how much more comforting it is just to be able to read the responses and feel the concern. Thank you all. I will keep everyone posted.
