The door runs under the rear bottom bunk and the tv is mounted on the other side of the wall form the bunks. So I'll need to find a way to sake the cable under the bunk and around the wall to get to the tv. Thanks for the feedback and idea. My preference is to drill as few holes as possible in the rv.Adding a cable jack to a TTOur TT was a base model and did not come with an exterior cable jack. The cable jack inside near the tv is wired to the antenna. So the only way to get cable into the unit at an RV park is to run it though the window. Which we haven't done yet since it's not the most ideal set up. :( So is my best bet just running coax through the wall (from the jack inside) to an exterior wall drilling a hole and installing an external jack?Re: Norcold N305 fridge not workingEverything is working as it should. My impatience got the best of me. Thank you again for all the tips and advice!Re: Norcold N305 fridge not working Old-Biscuit wrote: brmiller wrote: Old-Biscuit wrote: First off.... Fridge when starting up will take several HOURS to cool down. First the freezer THEN the food compartment Furnace blasting out hot air anytime you run gas?? Is thermostat OFF? Thank you for the follow up. I've checked voltage and it's good, 120VAC. Also checked the fuse and it's good as well. Ok, good to know about the LP. I did notice the freezer portion starting to cool a little after an hour. I would much rather have the fridge on AC since we don't do any dry camping and I hate keeping the LP on when away from the camper. Furnace is weird. I did in stall a new thermostat since the original one was pretty horrible. I did try turning it off and even removing the face plate so there is no power but it sill blew hot. I will take a look at it again when I get home. Thank you again for all the help. It is very much appreciated. 120VAC Good ..... Inline 3A Fuse Good LP Lights off...freezer getting cool after an hour PATIENCE. Turn it back on AC and let it run overnight Absorption fridges take several hours to cool down even your small cabinet model Fridge LEVEL.......let it run I don't have time for patience!!! jk. Yeah, I called the service dept and he said a good rule is to plug it up the night before you want to leave and let it cool down. I guess I was just concerned since I couldn't hear anything running when the fridge is on AC. Sorry for the ineptitude and thanks all for the responses.Re: Norcold N305 fridge not working LoudRam wrote: Check the black tank and tubing in the outside fridge access panel. Is it getting hot? It should be. That's where your ammonia is. You'll probably hear it bubbling too. That means it's trying to cool. If it's getting hot try disconnecting the thermistor wire. It will be inside the fridge clipped on the cooling fins. It may be wired in with the fridge light. Mine is. That will put the fridge into max cool mode as it were. If the ammonia tank is getting hot and the thermistor is disconnected and it's still not getting cold the cooling unit might be bad. I have a Norcold and my trailer is at the dealership getting the cooling unit replaced right now. Fridge worked on the first camping trip but not the second. Our trailer is a 2018 but we've only had it about 3 months. Bought it brand new as a left over so yes new fridges do break down. Let us know what you find. Thank you for the info. I will check this out this evening and see what I can find. I don't know if it's just me being impatient but the more I read up about this the more it seems like it happens quite often.Re: Norcold N305 fridge not working Old-Biscuit wrote: First off.... This freaking thing is only a year old and already having issues. ??Re: Norcold N305 fridge not workingSo I'm finally getting around to the fridge issue. I've tried ac again and nothing. I'm not that well versed in electrical so here is a shot of the terminal block Untitled by Brad, on Flickr Untitled by Brad, on Flickr What should I be testing? Also, tried on gas and was able to get the flame lit but the fridge is still not cooling? Since neither option is cooling the fridge is it something else wrong with it?Re: Norcold N305 fridge not working Old-Biscuit wrote: Couple simple things to verify With AC Power connected to TT 1) If you turn 'selector switch' to AC and the AC Thermostat Control set to any temp setting does the 'AC Indicator Light' come ON???? Thank you for the quick reply and all the suggestions. I will dig in to this later to day and see what I can figure out.Norcold N305 fridge not workingWe have a 2018 Colman Lantern 17' TT that we bought new. Took it out a few times and everything was fine. Last trip we took in October of last year the fridge was not working, on electric or gas. Took the trailer to the dealer since it was still under warranty and they tested it and all was fine. Shame on me but I took their word for it. So we are (finally) taking our fist trip of the year this weekend. I'm getting the trailer ready to go and testing everything and guess what doesn't work. :( I have the trailer hooked up to the house and everything else is functioning fine. So long winded question, any common issues or things I should start with on this fridge? I'm going to call the dealership and manufacture but since it's out of warranty I'm not expecting much help. So any hints, tips or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
