I have purchased a new seal and will be installing it shortly. My question is does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations for the making the project easier. The new part came with instructions which of course I will attempt to follow. At least they are in English. Any suggestions ! Thanks !Thor Motor Coach ProductsI recently returned home from Florida in a significant snow storm. Upon my return I parked the MH in our driveway over night. The temperature was in the high 20's and since I had not winterized at that point I plugged the unit into our 30 AMP circuit and turned the furnace on. At some point during the night the furnace failed although the temperature had continued to rise and the snow was melting very quickly. The amount of water running off the coach was amazing. After I winterized the coach I called my dealer and he advised that there is a problem with the Atwood furnaces on Thor products. Ours is a 2015 27.1 Model however the dealer indicated the problem goes across many Models. It seems that the vents in the furnace door (access panel) are punch inward rather then outward and water can simply flow into the furnace chamber. This causes the furnace to fail and sometimes (as in my case) blows the circuit board which requires a replacement. Sometimes the fix is to open the furnace access panel and blow out the moisture. My dealer has been attempting to get replacement doors / panels for the furnaces but at this point there seems to be a finger pointing contest between Thor and Atwood. The dealer feels that there should be a Recall issued since the problem seems to be growing and he has numerous units in stock with the faulty doors. A simple process of washing the coach can cause the problem. In any case I just wanted to alert everyone to the issue and It may be a good idea to look at your access door / panel to your furnace. Hopefully Thor and Atwood reach some agreement to a solution and begin to provide a fix.Re: Class A Thor Product ACEThanks for your input, I will do some additional research, particularly as to the mfg. of the slides in the ACE.Class A Thor Product ACEI am currently looking into trading in our 5th wheel and tow vehicle on a Class C unit. Recently we were at a dealer and after driving a Thor Industry product class C we were introduced to a new Thor product "A.C.E. which is a class A unit with all models between 27 and 30 feet in length. I was very impressed with the product. Interested in comments regarding Thor Class A products in general and also if any one has any experience with the ACE Models. According to the dealer they have taken the market by storm. Thanks for your input.Re: Toad VehicleThanks to all, I have downloaded the 2013 Guide to Dinghy Towing from Motor Home magazine.Toad VehicleCurrently a fifth wheel owner but looking to move to a Class C.
