I also agree not to use this on new RV's but would work great on older RV's that do not have full paint jobs that are in good shape. Mine is a 2004 and the white has no shine at all.Has anyone on here tried this?I read all these post and really sounds good. Check it out. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f54/check-this-out-not-poliglow-time-will-tell-43004.html Tell me what you think. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f54/check-this-out-not-poliglow-time-will-tell-43004.htmlRe: Good Sam TravelAssist+I have always wondered what we would do if something would happen on a Motorhome trip if I got sick or worse. My wife will not drive the Class A so it would be nice is someone drove it home etc. It does sound good. Just wonder after the first year if the price jumps up. Not saying I would drop it but they keep saying " hurry before the price jump, you have only 10 days".Good Sam TravelAssist+I received the card and information on the "Good Sam" TravelAssist+ and it sounds too good to be true. All that for $79.99 a year? Told I need to sign up within ten days to beat rate hike. They will have a driver bring you RV back to your home if you were somewhere on the road, pay for your flight back home and much more. Sounds good but just want to hear what you think and has anyone else ever used this assist? Thanks, John and Linda Woodward Mayfield, Ky.Re: Newbie with questions pugslyyy wrote: Looks like it is about 0.5 gallons per hour. If you are getting 8.5 mpg at say 60 mph, then you would go down to around 8 mpg. I don't know what they expected life is of one of these gensets - they are not particularly long-lived (they aren't built to be run 24 hours a day for years at a time) and need a fairly major service every 450 hours of operation (pulling the cylinder head) Really? You will need to pull the cylinder head and have major service done after only 450 hours?? Even if you get it serviced as required?Re: Hankook AH11 tires...I just had all six installed while we were in Florida. Nice ride. Great price. Hankooks by all reviews, is what sold me. Seem like a great buy for our RV's.Re: What to do in high crosswindsThanks guys. Appreciate the advice. I think "PARK IT" is the way to go when we feel unsafe. Not ready for the pine box yet. lolRe: What to do in high crosswindsI was not going over 55mph because of the crosswind and had other motor homes pass me and seem to be doing ok I guess. This is why I did not pull over. If they can keep on going I figured I could also and just fought it. Also seen other motorhomes coming from the other direction heading south doing about 65 or more. I was wondering what did they have that I did not. But think most were D-Pushers. How come they do not seem to be pushed around as I was? I saw some big rigs being pushed around a little. They too were passing me.Re: What to do in high crosswinds Gjac wrote: I would do 2 things. 1, Install a Steer Safe or Safety Plus stabilizing system. 2, Buy or make an awning lock system. My friends awning billowed out when we were in 30 mpg or so cross winds. We made a lock in a Walmart parking lot for his MH. Are you normally affected by passing trucks at hwy speed? I have the Steer Safe and can drive the MH with one hand at normal winds with passing trucks and hwy speeds. "Are you normally affected by passing trucks at hwy speed?" No, not really. I had (can not remember the name) but some kind of tracking bar on the back axel of the motor home (a little over $700.00) and it seems to be doing it's job. Yes, from now on I will be pulling over and waiting till the wind slows down at a park or truck stop. What to do in high crosswindsOn our way back from Florida we had a lot of rain and 30mph crosswinds and had to fight to keep the motorhome on our side of the road. This made for a not so nice drive home. We have a 2004 Four Winds Class A, 33'. Has new tires. Is there anything that can help when you are in crosswinds? Better control. Or should we just find a place to stop for the day? This was very scary trying to keep the motorhome on my side of the road. Not fun at all for sure. Was very tired when we did get home. Thanks
