Learned there was no place to have glass tempered in my area if I were to repair it myself. Ended up ordering oem window from Jayco(4 wks!) They do not keep any windows in stock and have to build from scratch per prepaid order. Will replace tomorrow.Re: Fave hydraulic leveling system?I do not believe you would twist the frame. The system can be operated either automatically or manually. In manual position, each jack can be adjusted independently or in pairs. For any further questions, I recommend calling their tech rep at 1-800-725-9815. They have been most helpful to me in every case.Re: Fave hydraulic leveling system?I had the BF system dealer installed 4 years ago. It has been a superb system. I had one event that I could not get the system to function. Called the 800 number and got an immediate answer from the tech and he talked me through the correct procedure. I have called several times since then for various reasons and always got through to the tech quickly. I could not ask for better customer service. The product is excellent and I would do it again without hesitation. Good Luck.Re: Heater hose routing? Thanks Steve: I'm pretty sure I have only the propane heater with hose routing in the floor. I will do a more thorough search tomorrow and, hopefully, it will turn out as you stated. Feel foolish that I do not know more about my heating unit. Made a one month trip to Grand Canyon last year and I must have used the heater at some point although I can't remember. I guess I had my propane valve turned on the whole time to explain why I had heat.Re: Heater hose routing? Thanks for the info. I will try to locate hose based on your input. The owners manual does state to turn on the propane to operate the "furnace". I assume furnace is the same as "heater".Heater hose routing? Can anyone tell me the routing path for the heating system in a 32' 2011 Jayco Jayhawk FK on a Ford E-450. I get good air flow in the kitchen/living room from the lower outlets but no air movement from the back bedroom outlet. I may have a disconnected hose at some midpoint but I cannot find the hose to trace it through. It must be between the floorboards and not acessable to the owner. Must the propane be "on" to allow the heater to activate even while attached to shore power? I thought it was an ac unit only but would not work without the propane valve open. We have obviously not done any winter camping nor needed this information until now. Thanks.Re: Reclining sofa in Class CI replaced our sofa with a single recliner on a swivel base. Couldn't find a suitable dual reclining sofa at the time. As my wife must sleep in a recliner, this fits us very well. I still use a lawn chair in the asle as the second chair. Caution: some of the hold-down bolts for the OEM sofa do not drop to the ground but remain inside the flooring with no way to remove them. Caulked the bolt holes that I could reach. I built a sturdy, small, solid platform that is necessary when the slide-out is extended to provide a stable footing for the round chair base. Works very well. When under way, I place 2 tie down straps around the recliner arm to ensure the chair remains up rignt. BTW, it was a challenge to fit the chair into the doorway. Not sure if it will get out the same way. It is a very large, very comfortable overstuffed chair.Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???You might want to check the numbers on the replacement tires before you leave the installer. I just had 6 of mine replaced and, as I was checking out, discovered that one of the replacement tires was ALSO one of the recalled tires. Seems the warehouse as well as the installer failed to check very close. Now, I have to wait for a back ordered tire to arrive and make another trip to the installer to have that tire replaced. Quite an oversight, heh?Michelin Tire RecallReceived recall notice a few days ago. Appears I have 6 tires to be replaced. Scheduled the appointment, drove the mh to the shop, left it all day. They called about 4 saying it was ready. Got a ride back to the shop and looked at the paperwork; I discovered they had indeed changed 5 of my 6 tires with the correct replacement tire. However, the sixth tire was another Michelin tire in the recall notice! They are now back ordered and will call when it comes in. I'll see how that goes. Only had about 7800 miles on the old tires.Clean rubber roofI began cleaning the rubber roof on my 2011 Jayco Greyhawk with Spic and Span per the roof manufacturer. This will only clean the surface grime accumulated but not the black spots that have grown everywhere. Tried grey streak remover-little better. Tried straight bleach-about the same. Has anyone found a suitable cleaner to remove the black spots from a rubber roof mh short of a roof replacement? Thanks.
