Those are residents and rich ranch owners with their Ferraris, lol.
I don't let myself be pressured by them by their tailgating. They can fly for all I care.
I pull along side when there is an space though for courtesy (I do that wherever anyways). - Rocky2ExplorerNot to throw cold water on the north bound drive from San Simeon to Carmel but...the vista points are uniformly on the south bound side and with a toad it is no fun finding a break in traffic and parking. Also, there are several slow to 15 downhill curves followed by an uphill grade. That said, it is doable with patience and try to pull over and let backed up traffic pass. Many sports car drivers consider this a road to test their skill.
- I believe articulated vehicles, such as towing, are allowed an additional 10’.

search California bus and motor home map for legal restrictions on length.
Thanks @time2roll!
Restrictions are for motorhomes over 40 feet between San Simeon and Carmel.
Am interested on this and your info benefited me too as I'm planning to take that route again from Monterey to SoCall this first week of June. - Yosemite_Sam1Explorer

Recalled a joke with a friend who is amazed that I kept on using that narrow unprotected-bby-any-railings double ravine in Emerald Bay Road in Lake Tahoe.
My friend; You have a vertigo, how come you are not scared doing through that road?
Me: Simple, I just close my eyes.
Saw a family van who was driving in the middle of that white dividing line, lol. Don and Eileen wrote:

We just wanted to be sure there were no length restrictions as there are around the Big Sur area.- LwiddisExplorer IIMost interesting turn for us is just south of Ragged Point.
- azdryheatExplorerMorrow Bay to Half Moon Bay is only 223 miles. Not sure why you'd be looking for diesel if you fill up first (unless I missed something, lol). BTW the Gas Buddy app is your friend for finding gas/diesel.
- LwiddisExplorer IIIts a beautiful drive. Take your time...see it all.

Santa Cruz is quite a bit north of Monterey. I hope that shows in your plan.
Thanks! We found a Costco in Santa Cruz and have been using Google Earth to see if we'll be able to do it. Fingers crossed.
