Essex NY ferry to VT

Question

I am in Lake Placid NY and am planning to go to Williamstown VT via the Charlotte, VT - Essex, NY Ferry. I am driving a 30' C towing a Honda Fit. Does anyone have experience with using this ferry crossing?

We did that last summer with a 30 foot fifth wheel and had no problem. You need to get on the ferry web site and see which boat is doing the crossing though. They use different boats with different height restrictions. We had to cross at Essex for height reasons. Best to check early.
