I-70 or US 40 - Oakley, KS to Colorado Springs

Will be staying in Oakley, KS en-route to Colorado Springs. Should I stay on I-70 to US 24 in Limon, Co, or take US 40 and Co S/R 94 into Colorado Springs. The later looks to be shorter, but I know nothing about the road conditions.

    Both highways are good...no grades and lightly traveled, the only reason to do 40 and 94 would be to stay off the interstate.

    Both will get you there with out any problems. I 70 to Limon and 24 to C Springs is the fastest way. 40 and 94 is ok, not much out that way but cattle and rolling plains with a few small towns to go through. Toss a coin.
