Whats a good route comming in from the east on 24 to that location? Thanks any info

The route recommended by Bedell above is the best route. When you get to I-25 on Academy Blvd, instead of getting on I-25, keep going west til you reach CO 115, which will take you south to Golden Eagle. The entrance to Golden Eagle will be a few miles south of Academy Blvd on CO 115.

  • As you get to the edge of Colorado Springs you can take Powers Blvd (SR 21)south towards COS Airport. Where the airport entrance is to the left take the right turn onto Milton Proby Pkwy. This will take you west to Academy Blvd.South and the entrance to I-25. This is a good route to avoid some of the city traffic, especially if you are going south on 25.

It's good and it would be my choice -- But when coming or going from the East I'd add Rt 36 to the roads taken in Nebraska and Missouri taking the diagonal at Colby.

You should have NO PROBLEM on your chosen route.

    BOL,
  • Yes it's a good route. You run into 287 in Limon and then jump off about 3 or 4 miles later just past the Port of Entry (Flying J & T/A exit) and pick up 24 south/west to CS. Easy drive.
  • I remember taking that road several years back. I remember it being fairly straight, limited traffic, but also having a few very long hills.
  • It will save you a lot of Denver area traffic and possible heavy tolls. The last time I drove that route, the road was getting some potholes (like all Colorado roads) but otherwise is a pleasant drive.

If I were going that was tomorrow, I would take it.
