Stations that carry diesel

All this stuff may be in other posts, but . . .
Unless you enjoy a Diesel Fuel Aroma, get rubber gloves to avoid the diesel stink on your hands, and keep them in a convenient storage locker in a bucket or bag. Auto parts places and truck stops all have them.
Watch where you walk around the diesel pumps. Frequent spills track into your RV and stink and stain your carpet. We carry a piece of old carpet to wipe our shoes on, and remove them after fueling till we get someplace to walk in a gravel or dirt area and scuff it off.

Our RV (Winnebago) is hard to fuel with the Semi nozzles, they are too big to fit in the tank opening so you have to stand there and hold the nozzle for the whole fill. PIA! Many stations have RV pumps, made for easy pull-thru.

Arizona charges more at the diesel pump in the semi fueling area than at the RV pump.

You can take this is a joke but actually it's true------ just follow a semi any semi eventually they'll need diesel...:W

Open country is easy. Most stations in rural areas with active agriculture have at least one diesel pump. Almost all tractors and most farm trucks need diesel.

Finding it in urban areas will be your greater problem, stations don't install a diesel tank/pump because they have no customers for the product.

Now all I need is stations that have some kind of sign that indicates that I can pump gas and pull out straight ahead. I can't back up pulling a toad four down. Maybe a picture of a smiling frog!

Good advise! And you may see some of those blue "D" signs on California interstates signaling to you that a station may have diesel, but that is not a common thing in all states. Plus when traveling in California be prepared to pay much more for B-20 diesel instead of the good stuff.

I use the apps mentioned, Gas Buddy, Pilot, Trucker's Path, Shell Motorist, and Love's. When towing I stick to Pilot and Flying J, when not towing I stick to whoever has best price as long as they are pumping a lot of diesel.

Usually not a problem. Even outback the tractors run on diesel fuel. Between trucks, tractors and VW's diesel is usually not far off

We have Sinclair gas stations here and their color is green.

Have seen them green, yellow, black..............so pay attention when you pick that nozzle up when refueling.

Just look around and you will see the diesel fuel signs, most the time diesel fuel prices will be green on the sign that shows the price....diesel = green gas =red on most signs. Always make sure you are putting DIESEL fuel in and not gas !! I have been driving diesels for a loooooong time and now days diesel fuel is just about every where.

If it's really only 10% which I seriously question as being accurate, then IMO your town is ATYPICAL and getting diesel should not be a problem in 99% of the locales thru out the U.S. Just use "Gas Buddy" and select the diesel option and stop worrying.
