Hello all, curious if anyone has every camped in the Wilderness campground with pets?? Dogs or Cats?? In trying to get info about how much they want to screw me for on top of there already ridiculous rates, I'm told I pay 5.00 a night extra for each dog each night and told that I cannot have a cat. A cat that stays IN my rv and does not come out. Just curious if anyone has every been with with cats before. Right now I'm going to tell them where they can stick there campground, but wanted to see if anyone else has had a problem with this.

Contact WDW for their pet policy. Info is on the website. Yes, Ft Wilderness is expensive, but you seem not to want to use that facility anyway.

Have stayed several times with 2 dogs and 1 cat, never payed for extra for them, and they seen them and actually have commented about them at check in. The price on the front end looks high, but if you stay somewhere else, it can actually cost more when you include all the extras you will have to pay for staying elsewhere. There are perks for staying on park, early entry in parks, stay after hours in parks, programs and activities in Fort Wilderness, Free transportation to all of Disney properties, etc..

Stayed there several times with our dog, and have enjoyed all the perks that come with camping within the Disney complex. I only spend a few days because it is enough for the DW to have the Vacation experience rather than the typical everyday camping experience. Whether it is worth it is up to you and what you expect to get from the experience, you could end up getting worse for your money someplace else.

Compared to other good resort-style campgrounds in Connecticut, the cost of Fort Wilderness is very reasonable for one of the top campgrounds in the country. At least in my experience.We've been there twice, but without pets. Some year we'll be going again.

With your attitude about Wilderness Camp at Disney, why not just cross it off your list and move on. It doesn't sound like you would have a pleasant stay not matter what. :?

Compared to other good resort-style campgrounds in Connecticut, the cost of Fort Wilderness is very reasonable for one of the top campgrounds in the country.

At least in my experience.

We've been there twice, but without pets. Some year we'll be going again.
