Anyone stay at St Louis RV Park

It looks like there is a public transport station in Eureka for the Metro. I've never ridden that and do not know much about it, but I bet you could call the KOA to find out if it is close and what the logistics would be.

If you drove the RV downtown, it is very easy to get on and off the interstate with the RV. Now, parking in downtown St. Louis might be a different issue. You will find street parking with meters and paid parking lots downtown, so you may have to drive around to find a spot that will work. You might call the Arch to see if they have a recommendation. They are working on the Arch grounds right now, so I'm not sure what has been affected in the area.

The Eads Bridge is a combined road and railway bridge, no walkway! Just use the metro-link and then walk. Then back on metro link to Forest Park for the museums.

Looking at Google Maps it is 1.7 miles from the Casino Queen RV Park to the arch...essentially just across the Eads St Bridge. Is there a pedestrian walk across the bridge and could we just walk to the arch and then take public transportation to the museum?

We always stay at Edmund Babler State Park. It's absolutely gorgeous with big sites and lawns. Of course, you'd need a car to get around.

The RV parks right in downtown are not in great areas. We opted to stay outside of the city in Eureka at the St Louis West KOA and had a great stay. Though it is a further drive, it's easy to hop on and off the interstate. I wrote a review of it and have some pictures here: St Louis West KOA

I called to inquire about staying there last year and an older gentleman answered the phone. When I noted that we wouldn't be arriving until about 9:30 at night he said "We'll be closed then, nobody will be here" and hung up on me.

So... I wouldn't expect any fancy service.

Babler SP is near Chesterfield. There is an Enterprise Rent a Car on Chesterfield Airport Road. They may deliver a car to you. We no longer ride the Metro Link, to much crime and lack of security on the train. Be careful while in St. Louis.

Stay at the casino on the Illinois side of Big Muddy. Catch the light rail into St. Louis.

You won't be comfortable at the St. Louis RV park in my opinion.
