Arkansas RV Parks on the River or Lakes

I stay at a resort named Batty's in Mt. Home. Its on Bull Shoals lake. He has one spot I made with 30 amp F/H. Good dock . Have all kinds of fish from trout to walleye. Up river they have strips. Its in an area called Promised Land.

I was also maybe thinking around the Mississippi River area in the North East Arkansas, any good areas for camping around there or ?.

Arkansas has almost more COE waterfront campgrounds than any other state.

Though they are concentrated along the Arkansas River and around the lake chains through north and central Arkansas. Mostly the western part of the state. Plenty of deep water and great fishing. Practically grew up on Lake Greeson off US-70 near Hot Springs. Lake Ouachita has great campgrounds. Bull Shoals mentioned above is world famous.

The Mississippi River south of St Louis doesn't have COE campgrounds on the river like the upper river does. Most of the river south of St Louis is behind levee's or a bluff.

Tom Sawyer RV Park in West Memphis, AR is on the Mississippi River, great views of the heavy barge traffic on the river, however you will not have direct water access. The park can be closed in the spring due to flooding.

Several lakes you can see on maps have good campgrounds. Norfork Lake and Heber Springs are about the fartherst east.

Maumelle COE park in Little Rock is very nice. ST

Beech Point Campground in Mississippi River State Park in Marianna, Arkansas is one of the nicest state park campground we have ever been to. You would have no problem driving your rig there from I-40. There are only 17 sites in the campground and they are all full hookup with long paved pads. Almost all are waterfront. There are two scenic drives on gravel roads that would be great to make in your jeep. Another possibility would be Crater of Diamonds SP just outside of Murfreesboro. Adjacent to the Little Missouri River.

Ditto on Maumelle COE. (they were paving the road to the entrance last time we were there).

Daisy state park in Kirby. We stayed there 2 nights in June, and our site was on the water. I think it's lake greeson. We didn't have a boat, but we saw people who did. It's a beautiful park. Water and electric sites.
