- JohnnyTExplorer IIWe have stayed at the Louisville South KOA which is actually in Shepardsville. We had a patio site. Did not really focus on how the other sites were.. Our site was level long, and easy in easy out... Did not use their WIFI but did take advantage of the indoor hot tub..We were in town to run the Marathon so the Hot Tub was a real luxury for these old bones after the race.
The reviews in the rvparkreviews are not that great and do not reflect our experience... The campground has a major play area for kids Ours are grown but we did see adults enjoying the area as well:) The campground is very convenient to Louisville proper...
As normal, there are less expensive campgrounds available. But we liked the setting and liked it well enough that we will be back there again in April.
JohnnyT - sdianel_-acct_cExplorer16 miles from Louisville is Charlestown State Park Indiana. Full hookups in the new section. 45' back ins. http://indianastateparks.reserveamerica.com/
There is a KOA but didn't get as good reviews. There are hookups at the Expo Center and at a Flea Market. Check on www.rvparkreviews.com - Markiemark32Explorer
- ReneeGExplorerOops - RV Dreams post is on Lexington and you asked for Louisville. Sorry about that. Well, check out their adjacent posts and you might find something in or around Louisville. If you search their RV Dreams site, they also have reviews on the places they've stayed. You might find something in your area.
- ReneeGExplorerCheck out this RV Dreams blog of Howard and Linda Payne. They provide a nice review along with pictures.
