Crater Lake N Entrance closed

I DID discover that many of these major fires have Facebook Pages (!). It's pretty nice, because they include stuff like Air Quality charts. Because of that, you can read comments from the public; and it seems that the problem with this particular fire is that the National Park won't let heavy equipment into the park to clear firebreaks. In other words, they're not fighting this one unless it's threatening buildings/homes, etc? And I'm not being critical - I understand that there are limited resources to fight ALL the fires currently burning. But unless Mother Nature steps in and douses this blaze, I think we'll save that trip for a later visit. We'll just follow the coastline and stay upwind of the fires.
