Knob Noster, MO State Park

Question

For a last minute family camping trip, went to Knob Noster State Park for the weekend and had a great time. Very nice, clean and friendly.

Plan on going back soon, and it's only about an hour away.

The camp host were very helpful and always around doing something to keep things going and looking nice.

I am from Missouri and have always found my stays at Missouri State Parks to be very enjoyable. We also camp hosted at Pomme De Terre State Park one fall and really enjoyed the experience.

The Department of Natural Resources does a great job of maintaining and keeping the parks nice, especially considering the use they get.

So where is this park, and what is there to do once there?  What kind of accomodations do they have? Did you make reservations?

We made reservation, but not required. Their calendar is on their web site and show what is reserved and what is not.

They have a playground for the kids. Some hiking trails, and I don't go to the lake but it was walking distance from the campground.

We mainly set around the campsite around the campfire.
