I would make reservations for RV park/campground in the Nashville area in April, particularly if the stay covers a weekend. April is well into the RV visitor season for the Music Valley RV parks, and weekend camping season at the state parks and COE campgrounds. Also for the campgrounds, progressively moving snowbirds will be coming through in April and May.

I wouldn't bother with restaurant reservations, unless you have some place particular in mind. Many don't even take reservations, some might do a call-ahead on the waiting list.

Memphis is also "in season" by mid-April, for the Graceland visitors.

We were pretty amazed seeing Athena in the middle of Nashville, pretty cool. That and the gardens in the Opryland Hotel, at least they were there the day before the flood.

I have called a few campgrounds and looked at some online that offer you to check availability and looks like the weekends in April are almost all booked. We don't have any really set day to leave and don't know how long we want to stay at each campground. I think we are just going to go with no reservations and see what happens. This may turn into a trip from hell.

They love country music of course but also love the outdoors, nature etc. Even would love to tour the area around Nashville.
