We will be at Disney in Orlando for a week in late June and would love to spend 4 to 5 days at a great RV Park on the beach somewhere in Florida (or even Georgia)after we leave Disney. What I'm looking for:1) shady sites2) large sites for some privacy3) full hookups4) on (or very near) a beautiful beach 5) super clean park, with nicely kept common areas (pool, laundry, etc)We know it will be HOT, and some of our northern friends think we are crazy for vacationing in FL in the summer but we are going to give it a go with a good attitude!! Finding a great RV park on a beautiful beach would just make our trip perfect!

We stayed a week this last Christmas at Camp Gulf in Destin. You can park right on the beach if you want but there is no shade. Some of the sites back away from the beach did have some shade but they are a few hundred feet back. It is a little pricy but very nice. Speed limit in the park is 4 1/2 mph. Don't break that or you will have a golf cart chase you down. There is also a SP there (Topsail Hill) that is beautiful and shaded but probably a quarter mile from the beach. Better get your reservations now and it may be to late.

Northbeach RV resort (ST Augustine), Grayton Bch SP (Walton beach area), Topsail Hill SP (Destin). All of these would fit your requirements. If you drop the full hook up requirement there are many more. There are other alternatives for non beach water fun as well if you are interested?

Shady and large are out on the beach in Florida.

Don't know if you are interested in this area, but we stayed at an RV park in October that has all the amenities you listed! It is North Beach Camp Resort in St Augustine. We loved it--large private sites with lots of vegetation between each site; FHU; right across the highway from the beach; 2 restaurants within walking distance.Please check their website www.northbeachcamp.com There you will see two pictures, click 'more' on the one on the right and it will show you the map and all the amenities, etc.I highly recommend it--we would definitely stay there again! Plus, we had never been to St Augustine before and really enjoyed our visit. If you have not been, I'd like to suggest a visit to the Fountain of Youth Park, the Lighthouse, and there is a trolley downtown that I used to see the city...very inexpensive and about 20 hop on/hop off stops around town.

Turtle Beach CG is literally on the beach on Siesta Key. Exit 205W from I-75 takes you to Siesta Key. Turn south on Midnight Pass Rd. for two and a half miles.

I think you would like Jetty Park. Only about 50 miles from Orlando.

I agree that Camp Gulf seems to meet all of your requirements. I haven't camped there but have been there several times, as we go down with a group of 20 and stay in a condo. I personally would opt for a row back from the beach in the shade. You're still on beach-front property, but just not under your awning in the sun and wind.

I haven't seen Destin RV Beach Resort listed. Scenic 98 runs along the beach at this location so you cross to the beach. Very upscale sites with concrete patios and pavers and lush landscaping, pool, very clean, gated. Very nice.

The snow white beaches can only be found on the Gulf of Mexico. We like CampGulf for that reason and because we can watch the gulf from our motorhome while we have our morning coffee. It is expensive because beachfront property is expensive. Years ago there were RV parks on the Florida panhandle and Alabama coasts but they were sold to developers for condos. We like to go after Labor Day because it is not as crowded but you definitely don't want to go there anytime without reservations!

We've stayed a few times at Beverly Beach Camp resort near Flagler Beach. Very cool beach town, but as someone else said, space and shade are not part of the on-the-beach experience. But, you can stay across the street from the beach at Beverly for much less $ and have much more space. They stack 'em deep on the beach front though.

Shady, great swimming, no sharks. Salt Springs State Park has full hook ups.
Blue Springs State Park near Orlando is nice no sewer tho.

I have never been there,but saw Jetty Park from a cruise ship as we left from Port Canaveral cruise terminal. It looked very nice and right on the beach, real cloce to cocoa beach so lots of things to do.
