RV Camp Grounds
I just returned form a 4000 mile trip. I think the RV Parks a getting bad. Not near as nice as they use to be.
I stopped at the Sportsman's camp ground in Lamar, Colo. (Good Sam Park) I have stayed there a number of times.
This time a little girl of about 8 years of age was in there by her self, I asked if I could get a pull-thru with full hook ups. Her reply was yes it would be $37.00. I tried to show her my Good Sam card, she was not interested. I asked her if that 37 dollars was with my discount. She said yes, Then I asked her what was the cost without a Good Sam discount. She said $37.00. I handed her two $20.00 bills and she asked me how much I needed back. I told her 3 dollars and she gave me back the 3 bucks. I then asked what space I would be in, she said any one I wanted. As I drove around I found all the full hook-ups were taken. So I took one with just Water & Electric . I went down to the office and it was closed. As I say the Good Sam doesn't mean any thing in some RV parks.
I stayed at about 8 more on the trip and out of 9 RV parks there were only 2 that I would recommend and stay at them again if had the chance.
