We use one in the SF Bay area and got a 2b/2b dog friendly condo with pool and free parking for $57/night. Your luck may vary :W

All the KOA's have cabins.

BUT

There are 3 types of cabins they rent.
1.One is completely furnished and is like a small house.
2.One has a bed but you have to bring your own linens.
3.The third one is called primitive. It has nothing in it but a wooded structure to lay on. No mattress, no bathroom!

And

Some of the KOA's CG's have camping 'Lodges'. Well those are just over the top!!!

If you want to still enjoy the CG experience but without your RV the KOA CG furnished cabin is REAL nice.

All the cabins and yurts in Oregon State Parks rent from 40-44 bucks a night for a standard one. Some parks have deluxe cabins and yurts which go around 90 bucks a night and they have bathrooms and kitchens in them. Reserve early....they are reserved very quickly.

It's not the economy of motels that is an issue with me, it's the class of people who frequent them. I would rather associate with camping people who are a much better group.

I would use the Woodalls.com search feature for campgrounds.
-Input the city where you want to stop.
-When the results come up go the left side filter and click Onsite Rentals. It should pull up those cgs that have cabins, etc.

Some state parks have cabins that often rent for less than motel rooms. Not always the "tiny" variety, though.

Some state parks, at least in Oregon, offer cabins, yrts etc,. Mght be an option. Happy trails

We have had some great times staying in the cabins. ALot of us like to go to Gatlinburg and will rent a whole house up on the ridges and spit it up with three familys etc... All of us still paying out $100 a day but it a great way to do it with family and friends...

Our local Westmoreland State Park here in Northern Neck VA has a bunch of cabins. Some are really high dollar haha...Its just another way to get out camping... Several spots along the SKYLINE DRIVE here are cabins only... Great getaways with an great view

Do check if pets are allowed however. Most do not...

"Cabins" are becoming more and more popular in Indiana. But I have not seen a single one yet, anywhere, that provided bed linens and pillows. You have to supply your own. Motels would be much easier. Check on-line for "pet friendly motels". More and more motels are becoming pet-friendly. What they are doing is simply removing carpet and replacing with floor tile. Rooms are still comfortable.

Last motel we stayed in (last December on our way to Florida before getting out of the snow belt), the wife looked up dog friendly motels. Turned out the one we stayed, almost every room was occupied and every room had dogs. There was a dog contest going on in the area! Who would have thought. Our little dachshund had a fantastic time meeting new friends. But our cat didn't appreciate the accommodations at all! It was really an exciting moment when the cat got out the door of our room and started bolting down the hallway! Oh, EVERY dog in EVERY room knew there was a cat on the floor. The barking was hilarious, and we had one cat that almost stroked out!

Once we got the cat back, we put him back in the camper. He was much happier.

Too bad you are not coming to Florida! I just stayed at a CG that had about 20 concrete block little 3/2 homes on the other side of the CG.

I inquired about them and I could have drove my car or flew down and stayed in these beautiful little homes on the waterfront for 1/2 the price of what it cost me to drive down with my MH.!
