San Francisco Campgrounds

I am thinking about taking a trip up north to the bay area to visit the city of San Francisco next summer. After looking at rvparkreviews.com and Good Sam Club, it looks like campgrounds in the area are limited. Any recommendations on where to stay and why?

Thanks!
  • Wow, MarinRV Park is strict! I should report them to the grammar police for not knowing how to use paragraphs! LOL

  • Hi Jerry,
Looks like Petaluma is about 40 miles to the north. I was looking for something a little closer.
    Thanks
  • San Francisco is one of our favorite cities and we have been there several times. We have stayed at what is now called the San Francisco RV Park in Pacifica. It is on a bluff overlooking the beach, but you pay for that by being really squeezed together (just a few inches between you and your neighbor's slideout). There is another rv park near Candlestick Park. It is located in a bad area as evidenced by the wall surrounding the park and the full time gate guard. The next time we visit we will try the KOA in Petaluma.
  • There is a nice one in Petaluma north of town. Can't remember the name. They even have transportation to the city.
