My kind of camping.
I do most of my boondocking in Vermont and the Adirondacks in northern New York.
Thanks to all for the photos. - JiminDenverExplorer IIThis was our camp site last week. The leaves are changing as fast as you can look around.
- ReneeGExplorerVery nice, Becky and Bob. That's our kind of place too.
- bobx2ExplorerOne of our favorite areas within an hour and a half of home.

Okie, there is lots of very quiet boondocking in Wyoming -- this was taken in the Gros Ventre National Forest:
It was quiet, but not silent -- elk bugling, grouse drumming (sounded like someone trying to start a motorcycle with a poorly maintained carburetor), and coyotes howling at the moon.
Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing! I agree about boondocking. That's the way to go here! - ReneeGExplorerThis is my favorite forum up here.

Okie, as far as we could tell, there was not another person within five miles of us! The access road was long and rough, which would discourage most folks -- and there was no fishing anywhere nearby. We intentionally sought out a very remote and isolated place -- we live in southern California, which is a crowded and noisy place, so silence and privacy are priceless. Just the wind in the trees, rather than the distant roar of the freeways.
Sounds wonderful to me! (I grew up - Jr. High school through 2 years of marriage -in Victorville (a very long time ago when it was still a great "small city"). ) I know what you mean when you say you seek out silence and privacy. We go to the Big Horn Mountains to seek our solace. Sometimes it isn't the quietest, but it is beautiful and restful.
Anyway, I love your pictures. It truly shows the peaceful setting. Keep 'em coming!
