- rehoppeExplorerEven out here in Colo., you have to get acquainted with the lands to know where the 'good' places are.
Lots of real estate out here is Vertical.... mostly. lol - bukhrnNomad

X-2, there is like a 100 times more open land in the west, almost everything in the east is privately owned and or already built on. We have NO BLM land in the east, & if you just pull off the road & set up in most places, you would be greeted by a Cop or an angry land owner with a shotgun. I wish we had a lot of places to just pull off & boondock, but even then, you'd probably have to share your spot with a few hundred neighbors. :(
Must agree there is much more open land in the west and therefore the boondocking oppturnities are way better!
Happy Camping. - UplanderExplorerMust agree there is much more open land in the west and therefore the boondocking oppturnities are way better!
Happy Camping. - JiminDenverExplorer IIThis is another of our sites this last year. It looks smaller due to the trees but is easily larger than the last dry campground we stayed in and that held 8 RVs. Our nearest neighbor was 3 miles away.
- JiminDenverExplorer IIThe campers in the west have a slight advantage. We have tons of open land to use and in our case, rarely use the same spot twice. In fact in nearly 30 years, we have only done it once that I can remember.
- UplanderExplorerI do not think any of the "Mac" applications you described are available. What I need is someone who owns an iPad to tell me how to do it with an ipad. Again my computer techno knowledge is very, very limited. Most first graders know way more than me about computers etc.
Once I know how to do it then the next step will be to take some pictures...my visit to this site has given me the motivation to fire up my camera.
One thing is very clear...the eastern boondockers have not held up their end in the boondocking department....the campers from the west have a clear 99 to 1 advantage. - kside001Explorer

I've got a Mac so it should be about the same. Go to Photobuckedt and open up your image. Right click on the image and you will see a menu popup. Click on "Copy Image Address" - then here in RV.net - in the message box menu bar, click on the little postcard looking image and copy your image address in the first line, then 650 in the second size field, leaving the first empty. Then click on the Preview icon here and if your image appears, then post. Hope this helps. - UplanderExplorerCan't figure out how to do it with my iPad....I am a 68 year old "techno-dummy's".
- ReneeGExplorerUplander - looking forward to seeing some of your boondocking pics too.
