if I were in that situation I would probably get 2 small pieces of aluminum angle iron and attach it to the wall then the table to the angle. Aluminum is light, won't rust, and easy to cut/drill. You don't need big long screws unless you're planning on standing on the table. :D You just want enough to hold it to the wall and table. Another option would be to try and use industrial velcro to attach it to the pieces if you're shy about putting screws into things. Not sure how stable that would be but easily reversed if it's not stable enough. I bet though that it would at least work to keep the table from rocking.
