DIY air cooler
Maybe this has been posted here before, but was new to me. Would be great for dry camping without AC power or tent camping. I may make one just to use in the garage in the summer!

- Put the foam liner in the bucket, don't drill any holes.
Forget the fan.
Fill the bucket part way with cans/bottles of beer, fill it the rest of the way with ice.

LOL understood none the less I want to try one. Here in Wyoming at altitude it's very dry and like Arizona you see evap (swamp) coolers on houses everywhere.- Evaporative coolers won't be very efficient when the outdoor humidity goes above 40%. Installed many on RV's when I owned my shop in Palm Springs. They work well in the dry desert but not near the coast.
- Swamp coolers tend to work OK in SOME low humidity environments but if you are in a high humidity environment (like in my area) it will just make you feel worse by saturating the warm muggy air..
Just hard to beat refrigerated type A/C which REMOVES moisture while cooling making high temps a bit more comfortable.. and works pretty much anywhere you go.
