Need to replace all tires. Where do I jack up? Do I do one tire at a time? See attached view of axles. Also see jack instructions. Says to jack on axle - which I hear you should not do? Then that would mean doing one tire at a time. My cousin said he would jack in middle between the 2. Not sure where jack would go. While all this jacking is happening...what about the a frame tongue? Is that on frame jack or on tow vehicle? I've see these big chocks you can ride up on to get the one tire off the ground. Even saw a guy do it with would and then jack up the front and freed to front wheels. Not so sure the reverse would work. HELP!!!jack-instructionsunder-rv

Pictures didn't come across.You are right to be cautious though, as bending the axle will throw off the alignment. You are safe to jack under the shackles at the leaf springs though.I leave the heaving lifting to Discount Tire, supervising the boys to be sure they are under the shackles.

Many/most do these days but it depends on the software in use and the capacity of the host server to actually store them.

And yes, the ones that do that will prompt you to upload from your computer to the host server.

Burb...

I am still working on getting my trailer road ready. So....it was my driveway or nothing. It was so simple. Well....I made it simple and very safe. I jacked up from a bracket in between 2 tires that was like 3/16" - 1/4" thick. both tires went up. Camper was not off kilter enough to fall the other way. It was a very slight angle. I used my truck jack. just did a little at a time. I release my stabilizers in unison. Not using to bear weight. Just as a backup. I would have probably gotten away with taking both tires off one side. But to be safe...I took one at a time off and the remaining one acted as my floor jack. So 2 stabilizers and one tire. Was going nowhere. The only dig was....I had to go back and forth down the street having one tire at a time put on rim. It was only a few blocks away. No big. But I'm sore today. So happy it's done. Just about ready to get on road.

As for the pics. Ok - I get it. I did not realize the background stories.

It's not a matter of the money, it's just easier than trying to maneuver the camper into the tire dealer lot. I don't consider using a jack and stands to be putting my life at risk.

CS, looks like you got it figured out.

On other forums when you just paste the pic into your post, it gets uploaded from your PC and stored on the forum servers. These guys run the forum on a tight budget and don't want to pay for the large storage needed to host photos, so you need to load your pics to an external hosting site like a PhotoBucket and then link to them. A PITA, I agree, but you get what you pay for here.... :)

Would you want to pay for the disk space to store the thousands of photos that have been linked to on these forums over the years? Linking instead of storing the photos also avoids some potential copyright/ownership legal issues.

No Beef. I just don't know why adding that step makes sense when it can just be built into the posting ability. I guess its a way to filter out objectionable pics? I ain't complaining - just making what I feel is suggestion that may make posting easier. I have to see pics almost ALL the time.

Do you want this forum to access your computer for the picture? If not, where do you expect this forum to get the picture from? This forum does not host photos (except for Profile pictures).

I don't really see what your beef is. How much trouble is it to upload your picture to the site I gave you and then copy that url into your post? It is only one more step than if you uploaded your picture directly to the forum. :R

This is what I did. I jacked off of a bracket in between leaf springs. Worked perfectly. I actually did not bother with jack stands. Luckily had Sunoco down the street. I jacked up both on one side...but left one to serve as a jack stand. Yeah - more work...but worked for me.
