My OE bed was a King so no mod. I simply cut two holes on the bed platform for the air tubes to go to under the bed platform where I placed the compressor. The top of the bed platform has a felt type of material on it so the bed stays put.

I caved in to the wife on buying the SleepNumber just to pacify her. To be honest my back DID feel much better with the SN. Will not go back to a standard bed.

We thought we would have wanted the one with the thickest topper and most $$$. NOPE we chose the next level down as it had the same air chamber system and simply felt the best to us.

Expensive but WELL worth it.

Simply NOT true! Yes it has to be ordered but you can CHOOSE to pay to have it installed or simply do it yourself.

Too bad you settled for a lesser bed. I'm betting the PRICE of the SN bed deterred you more than having to order it!

SleepNumber King from house 8 years ago to 07 Mobile Suites. Moved to 16 MS 4 years ago. Wouldn’t own anything else!!!

Most RVs have built in bed "frames" that hide mechanical/plumbing utilities not easily moved. If that's not the case for your particular unit you may still have to deal with the cosmetic issues involved with removal and replacement.

Agree with the part about the bed frame. I have purchased several new RV'S and have never left the dealership with the factory mattress or I as call it torture device.

We have the same Sleep Number bed in the TT as we have in our home.

I only have a queen but we manager to get a Tempur-Pedic in. No adjustable base or massage thats at home Way better than the Denver Mattress they all seem to come with, Lippert's making an adjustable base.

The mattress it came with is there only because it was the cheapest one they could find.

Replacing the mattress is a no brainers. The "matress" most have from the factory you're better off sleeping on the plywood under it.
