working on a jayco metal roof??

I am getting ready to do some maintenance to my metal roofed Jayco. I have resealed all the edges but I want to check out the fridge, vent pipe and everything else on the roof but I have to get on it to do it. Is it OK to get on the roof? The last thing I want to do is cause damage. Any one have experience with one of these roofs. It is a 1999 jayco 255 fifth wheel.

  • jayco has always built their units to be a walk-on roof. If you are apprehensive, bring up a sheet of plywood and move that about to spread the weight. I wouldn't dance up there but you should be fine for regular maintenance.
