And to JrWhited: That's a first about AirBags transferring weight back to the Front axle. If the fifth wheel is set up properly (at least with a long bed) there should be no extra weight on the front axle, it's all carried on the rear axle. We carry 4K of pin and it's all on the rear duals, front axle is the same fifth wheel or not.
I really doubt the OP or anyone loads 3100lbs into their 5th wheel.
1000-1200 average puts the loaded weight near 12,000lbs. So 2400lbs on the pin. Right at the max payload. RAWR is 6100 so in theory you'll be over GVW but under everything else.
No weight gets transferred to the front axle. My 2500 CTD front axle is 4900lb dry. Same when 1800lbs is put in the bed.
