- 2QAYLExplorerI'll grant you that Loydt. the remote was convenient.
- loydtExplorerI will say that I wish you could get a remote control for the awning. We have that on the Discovery and it sure is nice!
- 2QAYLExplorerI don't regret the lack of a wind sensor for the awning at all, M GO Blue. We had the full meal deal on the 34RLQS with the remote control, wind sensor, multi-wind level settings. Somewhere in our travels I must have brushed a branch and broke a cup off the roof-top wind sensor. Carefree of Colorado wanted $200.00 to replace that $2.00 piece of plastic. Fortunately I traded in the trailer and our dealer paid for the replacement part. Actually, given my druthers I'd as soon have a manual awning as the powered one because the manual is easily manipulated for angle of dangle in rainy conditions. Wish I'd remembered to request a change when I'd ordered our trailer.
Dave - cruzExplorerM GO BLUE,
Unfortunately yes ... although we didn't observe much water build up on the awning ... ran off the front pretty well.
CRUZ - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerOne other question I had...
Our dealer said our electric awning had no sensors at all especially when it got windy (should be rolled back up immediately anyways should the wind pick up)...also said that if it rained you had to retract it a bit to dump the water...
Does this sound like what everyone else was told? - happycampersweaExplorerM GO BLUE,
you sure you know how to push the button on the remote, you couldn't even flush the toilet (LOL) - M_GO_BLUE1Explorer

I did want the generator prep; it lists on the web site for $464. But the retail is actually over $700, so I nixed that one. What will I be missing just plugging the shoreline into a portable gen?
Eric
Eric,
We went with 2 portable Honda 2000i gennies the last 3 years with our old fiver and after about 2 years we made a point of making sure we got a built-in gennie if we ever got a new fiver. After having to put each of the gennies in the back of the truck, lock them up, and then having to go outside to either start ot stop them (especially first thing in the morning) we went with the built-in Onan Marquis Gold 5500 gas gennie on the Designer and it has turned into a great thing. Wake up in the morning and just push a button and we have power to run both A/C's with power to spare...nice to have in our opinion! - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerIs that the best you all can do? :):):)

Ok everyone don't take this the wrong way but we are taking ours out this weekend for the first time and haven't exactly read up on how to work the toilet so here's your chance to let the ???? fly and let me know how exactly it works...
I saw the one pedal on the right side....
No no no... It's more like starting a classic Harley, but you use the other leg. Be sure to jump a little! - loydtExplorerDude, that toilet is awesome! It doesn't just flush, it really flushes!! Compared to the one in my old Designer.
