Thinking about ways to increase the gray water capacity....
Anyone try adding a twist on valve at the end of the drain pipe and then when the gray tank is nearing full, pull the gray tank valve, then pull the plack tank valve to let the two tanks level out ???
Not sure if a person should then shut both valves again to make sure nothing from the black tank gets over into the gray tank or just leave them both open.

I've done this many times. However, my WW already had a valve at the outlet plus the main tank valves. I would open it until I could hear the flow slow down, and was careful not to let it fully level to avoid backflow. My trailer had 75 gallon tanks so I had a lot of extra space in that black tank. - TRIPLE8ExplorerHi, I have a freind that uses that valve with good results (as with many others on this forum). What I do is use a 4 gallon bucket (5 gal will not fit under my drain pipe) and drain my gray into the toilet. I also use a 27 gal tote but I have a huge basement to store it. Maybe look under your trailer for possible space to store one.

Thoughts about this idea or any other ideas ??
I don't really want to lug around a tote tank at this point.
Here is the twist on valve I was thinking of checking out at Camping World to see if it would work.http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/twist-on-valve/27868

Well, I went with BFG Commercial TA LT235/85r16s. No axle spacing issues, as I have a little over an inch and a half between the tires. Only time will tell, but they are no doubt much better than the STs they replace and I am putting my worries away. As I rolled in to the shop, not only did I have the blown out one in my truck bed, but the spare was leaking from the stem and another bubbled air through the thread in the rain. Good riddance.
Do you mind posting up a pic of the tires mounted? - bradley0128Explorer

That is some excellent news. I'm sure the price is very similar if not even cheaper than ST tires. I just may do that next time....though that may be years as I just bought all new tires. - danojenoExplorerWell, I went with BFG Commercial TA LT235/85r16s. Sti wondering if anyone has fitted LT235/85r16 tires. Im wondering about axle spacing. It appears my axles are 33" apart and the BFG Commercial TA s Im looking at are 31.4" in diameter. That would leave me an inch and a half between tires, if im looking at this right and measured correctly.
What do you gain by going to the 85? Higher load rating?
They dont make the LTs in 80. - N-TroubleExplorer

Minimum clearance between tires is 1".
Typical ST235/80R16 LRE tire is 30.7/30.8". - danojenoExplorerStill wondering if anyone has fitted LT235/85r16 tires. Im wondering about axle spacing.
