Joined the dropped 5'er club
This entirely my fault and I know exactly what happened.
As I was packing up to leave I moved the 5'er off the leveling blocks, the pin came out of the hitch. The trailer rolled backwards a few inches and of course droped onto the bed of the truck.
Thank my lucky stars that there is only minor damage to the bed rails. I only have 2 very small dents on the top of each rail, and small crack in the fiberglass of the nose of the 5'er.
I know it could have been a lot worse. I've seen photos. Even when I called about the repairs everything may turn out all right. They can be done in about a week for the trailer.
The damage to the truck can be covered with my hard top tonneau in winter. I will get it reapired too but that may not be right away. From a distance it is difficult to tell that there is any damage at all.
