I would think that when one OPT'S to purchase a heavier 5er that requires MORE than a 3/4 ton truck, that they would think it out and look at the safety side of things....Now when I purchased my 5er, back in 07', I KNEW AT THAT TIME, by having done the common sense approach and the basic math, that the 2500, nor the 3500 SRW truck would tow my 5er, but not without going over weight ratings that I care about, and I was concerned about the safety side of it also.....THUS, the reason that when I sacrificed to purchase the heavier 5er, that I'd also HAVE to sacrifice, to some extent with the " empty ride" of the 1 ton crew cab dually IF we purchased the 5er we wanted....I wasn't going to crimp on a TV, I wasn't going to choose "smoothness" of ride over payload and safety.....So, I purchased the fanciest, leather wrapped, loaded to the teeth 1 ton crew cab/long bed/4X4 dually that I could live with, (good looking, inside and out), and make do....heck the wife and I think of reasons to just go out and drive around in it and it is my daily driver to and from work..(yet another sacrifice I was willing to make t in order to purchase and tow the 5er the wife and I wanted)...
Sometimes you got to sacrifice something in order to have something else....
But But But....it won't fit in my garage, it rides rougher than my Lexus, can't take it thru the car wash, so I will just get the truck I want and add this and that and it really will be the same......
