I have put many miles on my old 97 Ram 2500 running around that combined weight with a gooseneck equipment trailer. Only smoked the brakes once. :E
I guess I am currently a lite weight as we run between 19,000# and 19,500 GCVW. Our 5er has a GVWR of 12,360# and see the day we take it from the current about 11,000# GVW to very near that weight, and will likely have about still 400# of axle rating available.
