Been towing a 13,830# (actual weight) 5vr for 7 yrs. with a 3500 2wd SRW.
Never felt need for dually.
ALL vehicles are capable tow platforms.........PROVIDED that they tow within their actual ratings. Real payload availability, RAWR/Rear tire max load ratings etc.
Know what those ratings/real numbers are and stay within them.....no issues.
Weigh the tow vehicle fully loaded ready to go camping and then you can figure out what you have available for towing.
Forget mfg. published magical tow ratings.....you will run out of payload/GWVWR long before you reach that tow rating number.
YES...an SRW can comfortably/safely tow up to 14K 5vr.
