Sealand toilet woes finally solved

I have had Sealand toilets in the past three RVs. All had the infamous ball valve leakage problem even after a complete rebuild. This time I bought a new toilet, a Thetford Revolution 310. Installed it and it leaked at the floor flange. DRV installed a 4" toilet flange into a 3" pipe and the 310 had to have an above floor adapter plate. Sealand has them at a price. Camping World refunded my money on the Thetford 310. I talked to our local RV tech and he said loosen up the two screws holding the valve, foot pedal and spring pack to the toilet. I backed the screws off about 1/2 turn and bingo, a free operating pedal with complete valve closure. Nothing better than having a fully functioning toilet. I think I will go try it out again!
