There are people who will never spend the money and if they are lucky will go through all their driving without a problem. Then there are the rest of us, who learned through some real world experience that a failed tire is expensive, costs time and in many cases causes extensive damage to the rig. Also it never fails but the tire will give out along the busiest and most dangerous highway on your trip. It is NEVER safe to change a damaged tire on the highway.
