Ditto on the TST 507 system...great peace of mind to know your pressure & temps at all times and the alarm should give you time to pull over quickly to mimimize damage. I followed a toy hauler (in car) a few years ago over the Santiam Pass who had a tire fail & was unaware. He interpreted my repeated flashing of my high beams as a signal he was going too slow so responded by speeding up to about 70 heading up the mountain! "Huh! Think I'm too slow eh? I'll show you!"
We followed him for a good 10-12 miles dodging pieces of rubber & metal/plastic parts flying off his trailer as his shredded tire beat the******out of his wheel well before we had a chance to pass & warn him. His stern look of defiance quickly turned to fear as the 2nd overheated tire carrying the whole load on that side blew out about that time & he quickly pulled over. Hope he had two spares.
BTW - I originally ordered the flow-thru sensors but soon discovered they were long enough to project out past the sidewall of the tire. After ripping off a sensor when I scrubbed a curb on a tight turn I contacted TST & they replaced my set with the standard 507's which are much shorter. Even the damaged one - no charge. Excellent customer service!
