Anyone know what brands offer dual pane windows as an option? I assume Arctic Fox and the highe end brands but have only found a small number of manufacturers. Thanks.Gman

We were able to special order them on our '13 Forest River Palomino Sabre 5er. Some brochures/websites don't list them as an option, sometimes you have to ask the dealer. I know Jayco offers them as an option too on some lines.

Almost every RV has the option to add insulated windows...but to keep the cost down, many do not make them with it....usually you have to order the unit you want with insulated windows, extra insulation in the walls, ceiling and floor, 2nd air conditioner, larger water heater, larger refridge, and the list goes on...If you know what you want and are willing to wait, order it the way you want it.

I know keystone brands do, might cost as much as $1000 for the upgrade

Excel has them but they come with a price.....Only folks that do a lot of cold weather camping or full timers seem to buy them. I understand they make things quieter inside the coach, so that is a plus in some campgrounds. That said I will get them when I buy my next one.

Talk with the manufacturer's sales rep for the brand you are interested in, he can tell you actual option codes (but can't give you prices). Get the pricing from your dealer and he should have you initial the build order with all the option codes you want. That way you get exactly what you want.

I'm considering a Heartland Elkridge Express or Keystone Cougar rear living model. looking to downsize 3-4' from my bunkhouse.
Hopefully they offer the upgrade.

I ordered my Lifestyle Luxury RV with duel pane windows. No condensation what so ever and helps keep the inside very toasty and quite.

They came on my HR, and not only are they nice in the wiintertime, they also help with cooling in the summertime, and it is RARE that condensate develops on dual pane windows like it does on single pane windows, (I've owned both so I can compare). Mine are dual pane AND darkly tinted. Zero issues with them and the unit will be 7 yrs old this year. The extra weight, depending on how many windows you have on your 5er isn't really all that much. mine worked out to a little over 250# extra. As far as cost, don't know what they cost, I purchased my 5er straight off the lot and it was a little over a year old, got such a great deal on the unit, I don't feel I paid anything for the windows or several other options for that matter:B

Whether some want to believe it or not, I do believe it helps keep unit a little cooler in the summer and a little warmer in the winter...I DO know that it cut's down on outside noise getting in as well as letting inside noise get out....well worth the investment as far as I'm concerned. Have had them since owning an 04' Coachmen Somerset...wouldn't go back to single pane windows now for any reason.

You are correct they are an "option" for Arctic Fox, but from talking to the factory something like 90% of the units, including dealer orders, come with them.

Option on Redwoods. We have them and love them, quieter inside (when windows are closed of course) and have had no problem with condensation as we always had with single pane windows.

We have Dual Pane windows and really like them and think it was a worthwhile upgrade.

Also be aware they do add quite a bit of weight since every window has two pieces of glass.
