Condensation in dual pane windows

About the only ways to fix that is to... 1) Have a glass repair company that specializes in dual pane repair to do it. 2)Remove the unit, split the seals, clean the glasses and re-seal them with a repair kit.... or 3) replace the window. I chose option 3.

The process you're referring to is very common in Great Britain and on the continent. Raving the windows resealed is not a big deal but finding an RV glass guy is. Florida and Arizona have a few, at least one in the Inland Empire in So. Cal.

If you are a DIY then takes less than a 1/2 day to remove and take it apart and put it back together and install back in the RV. I have a 99 and did all of mine. I used a Super Spacer material that is use on home windows system. cost around 12 to $15 per windows depending on the window size. PM me if you need any info. There should be a lot of info on this on the forum but can not find it. I still have the Part Numbers for the products if you want them.

What was being advocated was drilling 2 small holes, 180 degrees apart, in the spacer, not the glass. If no etching has occurred, flushing could be a short term fix.

Thanks to everyone for the quick replies to my question.

For me, replacing the windows is a last resort as one that is affected is part of a 3 panel piece next to passenger seat. It is sold as one piece and would be super expensive.

MountainAir05's suggestion sounds the most feasible but I will want to investigate further.

The DaveRootRVrepair.com lead looks like a safe bet for under $300 for the kit.

For around a $100 you can get the spacer and sealant at DK Hardware. The extra $200 for the Dave Root kit gets you a DVD and rubber gloves. Did all the windows in our previous MH for less than $300.

I have used the kit and they work good. I did 3 windows and it took about 1 1/2 days. Remove the windows from the coach. Disassemble the frame and remove the window. I my case cutting the seal was the hard part as it had a metal strip in it. After the window panes are separated clean, clean and clean the panes. Rough up the edge for the sealer. Install the new seal/spacer then mate the two pane. Fill the edge with sealer. I let mine set overnight them reassembled the window and frame. Install in coach. You will nee a good work area like several plastic tables to lay everything on. Also I use a pickup truck backed up to the coach as platform to remove the windows.

Just a note. After replacing a couple of windows, I was told to open the door or some ventilation while moving the slides in and out. The first time I did this, I couldn't believe the amount of air that moved. When the coach is closed up, that massive amount of air has to come from somewhere.
