working backwards--starting out with this truck
since we already have a pretty beefy truck, and we're new to living in an rv, i'm not sure that upgrading to a bigger truck is the best first move--but maybe.
for those who know this stuff, i'd very much appreciate some discussion on which rigs might suit us and/or where to go to find the biggest selection of pre-owned units from which to choose.
the truck is a 2001 Ford Super Duty one ton diesel 4x4 dually full crew long bed----7.3 liter engine.
it's got under 50000 original miles and is in tip top condition, basically new.
her weight capacity is 13400 which i think means we'll have to go for something in the 30ft range with slideouts.
given dh's immune system we need our own washing machine, which i know can be problematic, but it is necessary for him.
we intend to live 9 months out of the year in her as well, but not in extreme temps i assume.
in your experience is this truck big enough to haul a full timing rig or should we make the jump and move into something bigger from the get go?
thanks in advance, vermont sure has slim pickings atm, which is i hope great news for the economy!
