Cancellation of Roadside Service for using 6 times in 3 yrs

And just where would someone comment about this service other than this forum? I have put some positive comments on here as well on other posts, but obviously I want folks to know what issues I've faced with this service. What else would you have me put on here, the fact that they actually showed up???

At least they haven't lobbied for laws requiring you to have roadside service so they can charge you exorbitant prices to cover you...

Yes, AAA allows for 3 service calls per year with any membership...without cancellation. I usually go for years without needing any service, just so happens that I needed it more recently. I can't find where it states how many service calls Good Sam allows, but I was told it was unlimited when I was purchasing the service. Also, each time the issue was addressed and fixed. I have several vehicles that I use for different purposes.

Hey, we don't like that your from (Enter home address here)! CANCELLED!
We don't like the color of your Travel Trailer! CANCELLED!
Oh My God! You don't wax your RV 4 times a year with a specific wax only available at your local Camping World!! CANCELLED!

Now, would they do this? Who knows, most likely not...they want your money. But with this option, it gives them the right to tell you to go pack sand

I imagine that won't cancel you for the number of times you wax your rig or the color of your RV. The only color they are interested in is the color of money!;)
If for any reason your usage causes them to lose money you will be dismissed.
Keep in mind at the point you are dismissed they will have most likely spent more on you than you spent on your membership.
While you will be without coverage. Financially you will be ahead of the game

its ok, just sign with coach net, I like there plan better any way.

OP complained about GSRA a year ago. (Hijacked a thread). Stayed with them, apparently. Excessive use is why you were cancelled.. not *any* use.

This is not the first time discussed by someone having GSRA canceled for using it too much.... probably won't be the last either.

Now that you are canceled, just keep your own money, save it, add to it every week a few dollars, and keep it set aside strictly for your own break-downs and such. That's what we do. Although we do have a Roadside assistance via our insurance company.

This is unfortunately typical of most any insurance policy.

This year my homeowners tried to cancel me. They sent an inspector around the day after some nasty winds. They took a picture of a couple lifted shingles, called it a "buckled or collapsing" damaged roof and sent me a notice of non-renewal, not a notice to repair, but non-renewal. I have had homeowners with this company for 14 years with not one claim. I had to make the repairs take tons of pictures and file an appeal. A month ago a burglar broke in an took mainly jewelry, ins. agent said not much point in making a claim, we would not get much, rates would go up erasing everything we would get, and if we had another claim in the span of 10 years we would get canceled.

Same company I have canceled my dad after 2 minor homeowners claims in 4 years.

It does not say anywhere in their literature any limits other than they can choose to not renew. It really is a racket.

Funny, but I was just reading through the brochure for the Platinum + RSA, and no where in it did it say that, "If you use this service more than X times within a given time frame, you will be dropped for overuse of the program"...Even in the fine print at the bottom of the pages. Also, it says nothing in the brochure about "Excessive Use" or that "Excessive Use will cause you to be dropped".

Mind you though, it did say (taken from the brochure) "Membership is subject to cancellation by either party at any time for any reason, upon written notification. The cancellation of a membership includes the Member, Associates, Extended Family Members and all other individuals eligible for benefits under the membership. All benefits will cease when the membership expires or either party cancels. Should either party cancel, the Member will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of his/her membership term, without any deductions."

So in reading that, it basically gives GS the option to cancel you, for any reason, at any time...Period. Whether you use the service once, 10 times, or Never.

Please remember that when you tell someone they are abusing a policy for which they have paid. Nowhere in the brochure does it say you are limited in the number of times you can use said services. The person who sold my RSA policy to me at CW said it is like an insurance policy. You might not need it, but when you do, thank God you have it. But she never said that if I were to use it more than X number of times I would get dropped. Luckily for me, I never needed it.

I have not and will not renew mine again...it is a service that is only worth the paper it is printed on...IF you never use the policy.
