Elite vs Deluxe Membership?

I need some clarification. I purchased a 5th wheel from Camping World and the Good Sam membership which I had was upgraded to an “Elite Good Sam Membership.” About a year later, before my membership had expired, I renewed my membership and was told by Camping World the “Elite” status on my membership was only good for one year.

I renewed my membership at Camping World anyway and was given a “Deluxe Good Sam membership.” I have had that Deluxe membership for about a year and am now receiving letters from Good Sam telling me that I need to renew my “Elite Good Sam membership” before it expires in December.

My question is about the Elite Good Sam membership and is it only good for one year? Why was I denied and extension on the Elite status when I renewed a year ago but are now being told that I can extend the Elite status? What’s the difference between the Deluxe status and the Elite status and do they cost any different? Do you have to pay a different price for these two membership status?

I tried calling the 1-877 number but they are closed for the holiday and the website does not answer my questions.
  • Rollnhome, thank you for the links they are very helpful, and thank you also Glenn for the members' services number. I am at my 3-year Elite membership status so I guess I'll just renew and maintain the Deluxe status.

    It was a little confusing to me; glad I got it straighten out. I have been a Good Sam Club member for quite a while, got my first membership card about 15-years ago and I have absolutely no complaints.

    When I purchased a 2014, mine was for 3 years. Still good now. The magazine is not free. They haven't sent me any.

    I, for one, would like to see the answers in print rather than each of us having to call to find out. Is this info available on a web page that you can provide a link to?
